KURINGA community is a collective composed by team, groups, multipliers, collaborators and friends. It’s a group of artists-activists who come together to develop activities articulating theatre and politics, theory and praxis. The regular assemblies are the space for discussion and planning. KURINGA community promotes public events involving organizations working on the topics that the groups work about such as racism, sexism, toxic masculinity, integration, and gender equality, among others. The aim is to develop areas of political acting for the groups in order to strengthen the connection between art and politics in our praxis of Theatre of the Oppressed. Through the artist-activist activities, the KURINGA community exercises solidarity and also investigates aesthetic ways of its representation.
